I know we have paddling threads and hammock threads. Just saw this on the intertubes and wanted to share.

Awesome. I don't see a place for a cooler though.

What I want to know is how people come up with these ideas. Like somebody woke up one morning and was like, "I know, I know! Some pontoons, one of those huge plastic tablecloths, a lot of metal tubing....aaaaand a HAMMOCK! It's genius!"
Anyway, it certainly looks like fun!
That's really beautiful.

pretty cool, probably not too stable on moving water though
Wow, look at that date...the note says 2003 but the camera said 2004. Either way, they were ahead of the curve.

This is great! Absolutely not what I imagined reading the title of the thread, but brilliant idea :-)
Needs a sail and a tiller you can reach with your foot. Paddling is too much work for hammocking.
Some say I'm apathetic, but I don't care. - Randy
That's what I like to pack, items with multiple uses. Hammock stand and a boat. Of course with some of the pranksters I know, I'm not sure I'd want to use it near water, might wake up in the middle of a lake.
