Hey Brother, welcome to HF from Tokyo! There is indeed a few of us over here, but we're a bit spread out. We seem to be growing though. We'll need to see if we can all connect for a hang together. PM me sometime when you get settled in and we'll see if we can connect. I've been wantng to get out to Okinawa since coming to Japan.

1st time I was on Oki was in 1984 for 6 month in and out of Camp Hansen.
Then in 1988 at MCAS Futenma and Camp Kinser for about 3 years. Loved it there, but I was mainly windsurfing and scuba diving on free time then. The Corps gave me plenty of "camping" opportunities on a regular basis, so I didn't need to go on the weekends.
Enjoy it, great place to be!

Welcome to HF from Mn. I lived in Otsu on and off for a few years and quickly fell in love with Japan. Never made to your island, but I have a few friends who were stationed in Kadena as well. Have fun with your new setup!
