Welcome and happy hammocking!
Welcome. With a well thought out hammock & tarp set up you can be high & dry, warm & comy in any weather. Hope it works well for you.

You came to the right place if the ground is getting too hard for you!

Welcome aboard from Florida, Dwight. Enjoy the fun!
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
hey from high point nc and welcome to Hammock Forums.
welcome and have fun.
Welcome from Summerville!
Welcome from Rome! You will like hammocking. I discovered in Spring of 2010 (when my last hammock broke) that I'm not to old to carry 55 lbs, and I'm not to old to break in new boots on the trail, and I'm not too old to hike in the rain, and I not too old to sleep on the ground. I'm just too old to do it all in the same trip! Spend some time asking questions here about what is going to be a good fit for you. You may spend more than you would if you were a ground dweller, but then again you may not...
Wow, what a friendly place! Seriously, I am on other forums but have never had such a heart-felt welcome as on this one. Thanks and I look forward to just keeping my mouth shut and learning for awhile.....lots of things on here to read and lots of videos to watch.
welcome to the madness
many of us here got "into" hammocks becuase of problems sleeping on the ground
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Welcome to HF from Bama.........sleeping in the trees is so much better than on the ground. Look for a group hang in your area, great way to meet people and see/try their rigs out........
