I remember driving by Hatteras Hammocks years ago on the way to the Outer Banks of NC. There were on Rt 158 about 10 or 15 miles north of the Wright Memorial Bridge.

well I went ahead and bought one of these from hammock company. they guaranteed satisfaction and it has a 1 year warranty, so I figured I would take the chance. Probably going to be a week or two before I can go out and really test it. I'll let everyone know what I think

Hatteras Outfitters is a new one on me. I doubt they're affiliated at all, probably trading on the good name of Hatteras...

    Don't think I trust 'em.
+1. I had a Hatteras Hammock for years and it withstood a lot of negligence. Very comfy and durable. Until I tried a Spear Hammock several years back, it was my goto outdoor lounge couch.

    Hey, Spiffy --

Actually, the place you're thinking of is Nags Head Hammocks. They've got at least a couple shops on the Outer Banks. Really great hammocks -- I've got one myself!
