well said angrysparrow.
the old PIF thread had varying rules per person, with a general guideline to go by. some people said members only for certain things, others didnt. but while i liked the freedom of some choice, it got a bit chaotic at times.
im short, the way things are now in that thread works well. this place has a great flow to it and few problems. i like that.

I do like the 50 post rule, im new to hf also, i read alot of the diy, and look around in the for sale. mainly couse im broke as a joke, but im learning alot hear! i dont wish to post, just to post, just to post to reach my 50 but reading god onlys knows! how much is hear! is a god send! HF is now my new site i try to go to every day. Thank you HF

This limit, while high, gives each new member time to get on their feet. I know I want to have a better idea of what gear I need before I start collecting it from PIF.

It is what it is. I'm under 50 (posts) and have no issue with it. I'm on a couple other forums that do similar things. It's something to strive for. It'll take me a while to get to 50 because I'm not a big talker and I'm still learning about Hammocks. No big deal. Now, firearms..I'll rattle all day.
