Don't know how he does it

I went camping recently on a local wma with a friend and tried to introduce him to hammock camping. He tried my spare out and said it was nice to lounge in but thought he'd prefer his ole' trusted sleeping arrangement by the fire (after a few too many cold ones) . The first pic is his set up and the second is mine w/ac installed. Guess who was well rested in the am

Wow, that is painful to look at. He looks like you should leave some change on the ground beside him

A bed of gravel might be more comfortable. At least you can move around and get the gravel where you want it, kinda form fitting. His sleeping choice looks so painful. I'd imbibe too just so I could fall asleep if I had to sleep on the ground like that.

Is this one of those "sleep where you fall" trips? Wow that looks uncomfortable.
