Sure is. The 0.74 is ~ 2 oz heavier, something like 5 versus 7. Including tie-outs, zing it ridge line and snake skins my scale reads 8 1/8 versus 10 1/8 oz. The 0.74 feels beefier and surely its more durable, although I have not had any issues with the 0.51.

BTW, that's a very nice picture of your setup in the fog! It made me want to be there.

Nice pics Floatinonair. I like the looks of that color and the amount of light it seems to block out.

It is ironic that your photos are around Mt. Greylock because my next northbound section hike on the AT will be taking me up Mt. Greylock and into Vermont.

Thanks guys. I did an overnighter in Greylock earlier this year. It was quite nice, I had never been there before. After leaving the campsite (Mark Nopel shelter on the AT) and reaching the sunny Greylock summit I got a great view of the clouds below (you can see it in one of the pics). A few guys had paragliders and literally disappeared into the clouds. Pretty spectacular morning.

I'm actually a little afraid of that.... i've woken up groggy in a sil shelter on a full-moon thinking my tent disappeared. I am wondering if i'm going to have to wear blinders while hanging when my cuben tarp comes.

Check out Lawson's HexaLite Cuben Fiber CTF3.

Here's a link to a review and pics of mine.

Yeah Lawson doesn't seem to have any tarps right now - I was hoping to see some with integrated doors that he mentioned doing in batches but...
