Mesh skins ... works great ... Have a mesh bag that all that can fit in for storage ... but just the skins on the trail. Quick to deploy.

I have been using both. I still can't decide which I prefer. Skins seem take up more pack space because of how they roll up, but make setup easier. Heading out tomorrow for Idaho and I will be using the stuff sack or just the mesh pocket because of space and pack size. My setup for car camping will have the skins.

Tarp in a sack, skins on the hang. Used scraps to make the skins and they aren't big enough to take both the UQ and TQ in. When I make some new skins for the hammock I'll try the smaller ones on the tarp but it seems like a stuff sack would be smaller and lighter than skins for a tarp. A stuff sack (as opposed to a Bishop Bag) is also 'dual use' whereas skins are what they are.

For cuben, I roll it and furl with 3 bungee nacrabiners, similar to the method Taylo166 describes. It deploys quickly, and it does hold its shape well enough that I can hang it and it stays rolled if I want to leave it that way.

    For sil, I use skins.

For my hammock + bottom insulation, I use larger diameter sil skins (well sealed on the long seam) that can either stow in the pack or be tied on the outside, horseshoe style.
