Best first post ever!
Glad your okay though.
First: Welcome to HF! Anybody who puts a 95# mastiff in their hammock with them (in the middle of the summer no less) will fit in just fine.
Second: Thanks for sharing a great story! I have a 25# beagle named Chloe who loves getting in the hammock.
Third: Give a call to (HF handle) jeffjenn of Grand Trunk. I can't imagine this being covered by anybody's warranty or reasonable use doctrine, but who knows... you might give them such a great laugh that they hook you up on some new gear. Never hurts to ask.
The following was copied from a previous thread so it's totally out of context:

So many trees, so little time...
Now that's a funny story right there. Thanks for the lunch break laugh.
That was hilarious! Love the mental imagery.

I can picture that happening, that is just to funny
Thanks for the laugh. I'm glad that Chloe's okay.
Oh, and you, too!
My little baby lab puppy is 120lbs and only his nose is allowed on the hammock (he has taken over my bed for now). I couldn't imagine him climbing in w/me. Those giant claws would shred my rig for sure. Btw, the last time I camped on West Point the people were louder all night than any dog :-)
You are quite the wordsmith...got a giggle there.
Hope you get the hammock fixed.
