Had to do it. My rig with one tree and a post with the boom-stake setup (Alamosa)? couldn't take all the rain. I have spent over a month outside in my WBBB and in high winds and all night rain during that time, but the ground is just too saturated now and I could not move the booms. I am using short straps coming off the post, and I know I need to purchase longer straps. Just one of those things one puts off until too late. I like the boom setup though. There is a warning system built in. Sat down on the hammock and felt the drop, checked the the front spike was 5 inches up. I repositioned and the other strap loosened. That was it, had to go in the house and sleep on my therma-a-rest on the living room floor, where I have been sleeping for three years. Who needs a bed!
Loving the WBBB. Have a Incubator on order and hope to add a Burrow for Christmas. I will see how late into the fall I can hang, then move it onto the porch.
Stop rain!!
Yep, just babbling!
