Superuber lite UQ DIY Hybrid 7D & Cuben

Can we possibly go any lighter? allways my friends. I present to you the DIY 7D hybrid with cuben. This is a 3 season UQ with 8oz of 900 fill from stormcrow and a few of his finishing touches. Final weight of 11.7oz and yes that means the shell and cord weight is only 3.7.

    It's beautiful...way to go!

How low do you think you'll be able to go with it?

    I have used a DIY cuben / mom-90 hybrid for 2 years.
For a bridge hammock. I have not had condensation issues, but I suspect that varies by person.

What are the dimensions of this quilt? Mine is 36" wide, 50" long, 2.5" deep. Weighs about 9 oz if memory serves.

The "problem", if you want to call it that, of uber-light shells is that the heftier the quilt in terms of dimensions and loft, the less the contribution towards weight is made by the shell. The biggest win is on these light summer or 2.5 season quilts.

    Jealousy!!!!!!!! I envy you!

Ok, here's the deal: I need someone who wants such a uber-UQ... He who is willing to get on this deal sends material for two of them and gets one completely finished shipped back.... I'd even do it for only yielding the fabrics for one UQ -- have enough down for my own needs.

I made an UQ using cuben also. Took a differant route though. Made strips of cuben apposing 7d. I used 12oz of down. Total weight was 17oz.
