Has anyone tried a straight ridgeline (tree to tree) with the ridgeline running through the center of a short piece 24" or so of line like a whoopie sling and attach one of the ends to the hammock. This would allow you to,
1. center the hammock
2.adjust the sag
3.rigline for tarp.

You would probably need the original rig-line used for bug netting.

You could have the hammock removable from the straight ridgeline as well,
so basically you would have a clothesline with two 24" or so lines on it that can move down the length of it.

My only concern is that the pressure/ attachment point to the hammock on the 24" lines would be equivalent to attaching the short piece (pull handle) of a whoopie sling to the hammock and the part that usually attaches to the hammock is the straight ridgeline.

If this is confusing I'll draw something later.
