Nice and cool in Georgia too although it is cloudy and damp.

Great trip. Wish I could go. We're committed all weekend.
If you can pack it (and feel like messin' with it) take your own fire wood in. There's plenty of squaw wood laying around but you won't find any logs to burn.
Also, it's cool to snorkel in the cave too, so take your mask at least.
Looking forward to the trip report - and the PIX!
P.S. Be careful around the drunken stink boaters as you approach the Ichetucknee. They think it's great sport to try to swamp you, spill your boat, charge you or otherwise scare hell out of you.

So many trees, so little time...
Well, last night's attempt with the poncho liner didn't quite go as planned. I slept out in the side yard and felt a bit chill despite hanging it by its tie-outs.
I think some extra cord will be necessary to snug it up underneath. The air gap between it and the bottom of the hammock was a little too large. Meh...it was worth a try.
Fortunately, I'm a fairly warm sleeper; despite an overnight low of about 65, I felt good when I woke up. Made instant "coffee" and oatmeal and ate in the hammock. Was my first real attempt to cook with the new alcohol stove I built over the weekend. Tasty.
Glad you're getting a break from it! I'm wondering if all this crazy heat is some indicator that perhaps the Winter up here is going to be really harsh.
It was 72* at this location about 9 AM this morning!
I'll be camping @ Black Creek Ravines on the 8th of October. That will actually be my first time hammock camping.
