Has anyone ever pee'ed while hanging in a tree?

Its 4:15am and the snow has been blowing steadily since midnight. You can hear gentle snow drifts brushing softly under your tarp. You're extremely cozy--your toes are toasty, your body is wrapped up like a basket of warm biscuits, and your head rests comfortable and warmly on your down pillow. Life is looking pretty good, except for your bladder, which feels like it is going to burst at any moment. You think you can ignore it until dawn, but you recall that delightful cup of brewed hot coffee, the makings a thoughtful friend packed along, and now you have to do something about it or you'll regret it the rest of the night (and maybe the trip).

Do you pee in an empty bottle you happen to have stored on your shelf, or do you brave the elements?

We love our hammocks, but what do you do about the inevitable? Just asking.

haha I use the ole hennessy hammock bottom entry ( only for an emergency ) but I spread the velcro with the two legs and just let it flow man
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

I just lean on my side enough to get my little buddy over the edge of the hammock. Gotta be careful where you leave your boots, but it sure beats getting completely out of the quilts on a cold night.

On rare times I pee over the side. In an HH I have managed to go out the slit. On the HH I would often drop my legs down and remain under my tarp.
Now I am thinking I need a zippered slit on the side of my hammock. This is a kind of bite your tounge and rememberforum rules thread.

This is why I think that dehydrated diapers are a great idea because they don't weigh hardly anything until the exact moment in time that you need them.

being female - its a little tough to lean over the side...

I do carry an empty gatorade bottle just for that reason
place it on the ground under my hammock before I go to sleep
