First Night in First DIY Hammock

Preparing for a trip with my son and his family, I decided to switch to my new DIY hammock, which is 60" x 10.5 feet, made of 30d MARPAT from Magnafabrics.com. Spent the night in it out back and found that it is more comfortable than my GT UL. What a great night's sleep!

It's too big for my easiest-ever bug net, though, so will once again use the military surplus one. This will be a car camping trip so weight is not much of a factor this time out.

    Pictures or it didn't happen

Making your gear yourself is so much more satisfying. Looks like your on your way to a total DIY setup!
Those grand trunks are great for napping, but for overnight, and bit wider s a lot nicer...
