I wish I could attend, but this year has been a whirlwind of kick my arse. I this is only the second time in about 3 months I've been on the forum. Good luck and have fun!
I like big hammocks - I cannot like.

Not sure if Ill be able to make it.... Lemme see how my schedule is working out. It would be a nice intermediate stop on the way home from Kentucky and I am supposed to have Andrew home in time to collect candy from the neighbors... So this may be a nice way to do that. We wouldnt be rolling in until sometime Sat. Early afternoon or late afternoon.

    Jerry,

From the sound of it you have changed the official gathering location from the original GPS cords. If that is correct can you repost them?

    campsite location

    JERRY (the hiker)

Thanks for the yellow ribbons. I still plan to park at the horse camp and hike into the ruins. Heading back east from the ruins is an old trail the follows the hollow back to the present day trail and back up the ridge to the main trail to the fire tower. Will the campsite be up the ridge from the ruins iron the hollow I just mentioned. I will be coming in Thursday afternoon I will eventually find it as I know the cemetary, ruins and the big pond campsites. Thanks Bluejeans

Sorry, Jerry, but I can't be there. I want to be there, but have to work Saturday. I'll be thinking about all of you, this sounds like a fun trip.

    Maybe next time?

OH! We will wait up on you Sat Nite. Sure would like to see you.

Sorry, Brother Steve, I'd love to see you again, too. By the time I got off work and then drove there it would be pitch dark, and as I've never been to that area before I don't think I'd even find the trailhead. Maybe a few of you could show me that area some other time, maybe this winter?
