Thanks to all that came and made it such a great time. Sorry we missed you, Lisa, it would have been great if you could've made it. How did the BBQ turn out?

My headache went away about halfway back to the car. I guess I should have listened to my high school coaches a little more and just "walked it off."
oldgringo's reply to my worrying about owning extra hammocks:

How many pairs of underwear do you own? Do you refer to them as "extras", simply because you're not wearing all of them as we speak?

Getting cleaned up and tending to the GF. Glad to have met you all that made it out; looking forward to meeting the rest this spring at the Hoosier Hang.

Lake Monroe mud flats. I think that assault needs to be done at high water. Came up on a sailboat around the corner from Patton cave one time, and it still had to be tied off to a tree.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck Lisa. Coming in from the Crooked Creek BR and heading upstream on Crooked Cr, you can make it to the end of Terrel Ridge, but even pulling the canoes up the branch that drains the pond, has you leaving the canoes a mile or so from the ruins. I wouldn't feel comfortable with that myself, unless taking the trouble to pick them up and hide them properly somewhere, covered up and chained to a tree.

There are several paddle in campsites, right off the lake, a couple ridges north of Patton cave, that also make for a nice hike in from the PC trail head. They are pretty easy to see on the quad maps.

    Home & clean(ish).
My first hike in the dark Sat AM, WAY FUN!! Going to do that again, but not after a 17 hr shift at work & a 2.5 HR drive

That was a very nice site, ample hanging spots, I even found a decent site in the dark at 4 AM. Heard a few coyotes a LONG way off on my walk in, & "some kind of owl" both nights, pretty sure it wasn't a Barred Owl, but not sure what it actually was.

GREAT seeing all. Glad your headache went away Kukri, figured the walk would do you good. Always helps me

I took about 4 pics, so not worth posting I think.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
