I only have access via my phone right now so I'm gonna save the long story for tonight.

    But yeah, top notch.

I just bought the Night Owl. I had ruled out the WBBB and Traveler due to the likely space restriction, and it was down to a Night Owl or a Hennessy. The extra length and open-air design of the Owl decided me--that and the thought that I won't be enjoying my winter solitude at the expense of a glassy-eyed slave laborer who likely won't spend a day of his life reading a cozy book in the mountains while the snow falls quietly around him.

As far as I know, I'll be the first extremely tall (6'6") poster here who's used this hammock, so I'll be sure to write a detailed review once I've spent a few nights in it. I'm pretty excited. Can't wait to see the difference between this and my glorified sardine can of a one-man tent.

yea Ive heard alot of new stuff from him so I have a pretty good Idea what it could be. but Im glad the night owl has taken off. Ive talked to marty alot and did some testing for him but have yet to sleep in one of those night owls
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.

Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......

Im 6'4 and 275# so Im right up there with the rest of you giants.

My experience.. I contacted Marty last nite via the contact link on his site about getting a Night Owl to me by Thursday evening as we are leaving for a trip Friday morning. Now mind you I dont need the hammock as I have a Traveler and a Grizz Bridge. Ive had several Black Birds but I always manage to give them away to folks that have hit a rough patch, so Ive never actually gotten to sleep in a BB, just lie in one. But I have slept a fair bit in the traveler.

Anyway.. Marty said he had the NO in stock and could certainly ship it overnight with me covering the shipping, perfect. He gives me his paypal address and I attempt to send him the payment...... Except I have let all the cards tied to my paypal account expire and I am $12 shy of having in there what I need to send Marty. So Paypal wants to send the difference via E check and I cant stand receiving E checks so I refuse to send them. I told Marty what my deal was and that I wasnt in dire straits to get the hammock.....

He said just buy the hammock from the website and send me a check for the difference. Ill drop your hammock off at the PO in 30 minutes. Side note.... And sure enough, he calls me from the PO about 30 minutes later to OK the fact the overnight shipping had been misquoted and would be a bit more than originally stated.

That is what I call service.. Marty doesnt know me and he certainly doesnt owe me anything but is trusting me to send him a check to cover the overnight shipping due to my lack of diligence in keeping my paypal account up to date.

BigRed77, if you decide to go with the Owl, please do let us know how you think it compares to the WBBB in terms of space. You're pretty close to my size, and the BB would've been my second choice.
