Have you thought about fabric paint from a cloth store or even walmart (in the craft section) to "paint" it with? It does now get hard and is flexible.

I have been researching ways to paint it actually.
Not sure what I am going to do really even though I know I would like it painted/colored/dyed but really jsut really want to get out there and get back out there.
I have a 68 mile hike in southern indiana that I am trying to get going. The Knobstone Trail if anyone has ever heard of it or better yet done it.
Hey Zippo, I am not far east of you and I am also planning to thru hike the KT soon! This will be my first trip on the KT and can't wait to get out there. do you have a date finalized for your trip? I am looking toward 1st wk of Oct. most likely.
thats kinda actually what I was thinking myself, but have to be careful since it will be right around hunting season and the KT is deep in woods
