    2 Days, 3 nights in Hell's Canyon

My best friend, my wife's cousin and I made a short trip into Hell's Canyon in Idaho. Beautiful high country. Some good fishing at 1 of the three lakes we visited. I Used my new Tenkara rod from AHE for the first time. It's a great option for high mountain lakes. Unfortunately no video or pictures of the fishing, but our sleep set ups and the trail are well seen on the video. Enjoy...

I was surprised how well it did. It has become a permanent part of my light weight backpacking arsenal. It was fun to outsmart the fish using a more delicate and stealthy approach to fishing.

Despite my best friend's ability to cast further with his 2lb test light weight spinning rig, I caught as many fish as he did.

I just ordered the 13 footer to try it out, but the 11 footer was more than up to the task once we found a lake with fish in it.

Excellent trip report....sorry I missed it before. The Seven Devils area is incredible. I've only been able to get int there on one trip before but would really like to go back. Glad you got to fish with the Rod and had some luck.
