I will buy some wood if they're selling it nearby. Maybe one or two others could do the same. Don't bring wood, buy it there.

I think you will need to get it before you get out of Forestport. I'm not sure you will get it there. There is a logging operation on the way in but I don't think they sell firewood.

haven't been on it a couple of days. Yapping with Docs & w/comp. pain in the *&&
I'll be up there friday afternoon if they haven't sent me back to work yet, waiting on MRI. If I am back to work I might have to work OT

I like the sound of North Lake for me i am with in a 45 min drive. I will bring some wood form my house. The bad news is i will be up Saturday afternoon. So just a one night for me.

I meant midday Saturday, can't get the time off work ATM.

My point about the firewood is, they don't like you bringing firewood from outside the ADK Park. When I was going to the Moose River Plains Limekiln Lake Rd entrance, there were lots of houses selling firewood, and it apparently even comes with a receipt so you can prove to the rangers that it was obtained locally.

I can bring a couple of cheap extra sleeping bags if anyone needs to rig something up.

I'll have a saw and axe and some firewood. Probably a large plastic tarp too. Maybe we want to PM phone numbers in case there is a problem. The main reason I'm going Friday is to get the site. If there is a problem I can drive out to cell coverage and pass the word. Company would be welcome. ;-)
