What is the largest span you have ever suspended from?
For me it was a 25 foot wide pavillion I'd like to make some splice amsteel extensions and go for 50

wow thats crazzy i think the furthest ive gone is like 20ft and that was scary. what did you have to do get a ladder to put your straps up high enough
My longest was about 20'. That's the only time I had to use my 4' extender (a piece of amsteel with a fixed eye at both ends).
In situations, the structural ridgeline comes into its own. I had my WBBB and the ridgeline was strng pretty tight, because I couldn't get the straps high enough on the trees. Yet still my hamoc wasonly 100" long.
If I had a hammock without a ridgeline, I could not have hung that night.

My longest was 25' or so. It was across a deserted one lane gravel road. There was a very skinny tree on one side and a large embankment on the other. To string up the hammock, I ran up the embankment and tied my straps around the base of a tree at the top.

I've also done 20'-25' using heavy duty tree straps and climbing both trees. I didn't have a ridge line on that hammock and it was really uncomfortable because since I couldn't climb high enough to get good sag or have long enough straps it ended up tight as a drum.

I've been around the 25' mark. Gots to get those huggers waaay up there. Once everything settled, I didn't notice a difference.

Just 2 days ago I was able to stretch out to 23'. The only way this worked was by anchoring my huggers on one side of the tree as to be able to hang over the 6' drop. Once hanging, I had a wall of dirt on my left and 5' of drop on my right. Turned out to be a very fun night, a little weird, but fun.
