Great pics. What makes the water that color blue?

    Were those rental kayaks?

What kind of fish does the lake support?

I love getting my kayak out on water that smooth, unfortunately, that's not very often around here.

My buddy's kayak, the red one was a rental. It was a 17 foot Seaward Chinook. My kayak is the yellow one and I own it. It's a Delta 15.5 Expedition.

In an unscientific description, the water is green because of how it reflects the fine rock and sand particles that wash into the lake from the many mountain streams and glaciers.

The lake "supposedly" has brook and rainbow trout, although I never saw any!! They are usually about 2 to 4 lbs but like anywhere else there have been some big ones taken, or so I've been told.

You know, if you folks north of the border keep posting these unbelievably fantastic pictures of you local wonderlands, I just might have to learn the language and move north, eh!

just above freezing....so swimming it out of the question. i'll dive in that but that's either 7mm or dry. it has to be nice if you're looking for a cold beverage.
