Question GT UL vs GT Single Parachute

Other than the obvious differences being that the UL is made of Polyester Taffeta and the other Parachute Nylon, are there any other substantial differences in comfort? I am planning on switching the suspension system to ring & strap so the stock suspension doesn't really matter here.

I recently bought my first hammock (GT double parachute) and feel that I need another one for my SO that is refusing to get into the same hammock with me because he doesn't trust that the fabric can support the weight of the both of us. That way we can hopefully hang next to or close by each other in our own hammocks. The price of the UL is around $19.99 and Cabela's has the Single Parachute for around $25 (REI's Deal of the Week at $29.99) and so the prices are similar enough that I am wondering which one I should get.

REI also has another GT Tree Sling Hammock ($27.93) that I am unable to find on the GT website that is made of ripstop nylon. Does anyone have any experience with this hammock?

The Single is more comfortable in my opinion. I have 2 of the singles and an Ultralight as well I bought for my wife. She likes the single better, it just feels a bit more comfortable than the ultralight.

Hanging in the same hammock might be fine for a little quick rest etc, but I wouldn't want to be squashed up in a hammock trying to sleep all night. Hang the 2 hammocks from the same tree on the head end (just run the straps off different sides of the tree) and the foot ends from two trees. This lets you talk and have your heads close, but each has their own hang and comfort.

To clarify, I actually meant just being in the hammock with me reading or watching the sunrise, not actually both sleeping in one. I agree that having 2 sleep diagonally in a hammock can be quite squishy at best.
