I know they have their purpose and I am sure sometimes it may be a better option but, whenever I do a trip by myself something usually goes wrong with the tent, fiberglass pole splits, critter chews hole in floor to get to cheese nips while I'm off hiking then it rains like hell and I do not have any duct tape. Bad zippers, huge spiders trapped inside that I spot but, can't find in the middle of the night. I could go on and on ( really I could ) so I started packing a parachute hammock and loved it and thats why I'm a member so I can upgrade and get a system for Winter trips, though, my Eureka tent has never failed me as a Winter basecamp tent, so it is the exception. I have decided on the GrizzBridge and will post a pic when I have finished it. Thanks for reading my ramblings and have a nice day
