Are you still using the stock Hennessy suspension, with the figure-8 knot? If so, that's going to be part of your issue, for certain. It takes just this side of forever to adjust that properly. Since you're committed to ultralight backpacking, I'd recommend a Whoopie Sling set-up. It's a lot easier to adjust and shouldn't gain any weight over the standard Hennessy set-up. Just a thought.
I'll certainly switch to Whoopie slings. Pretty cheap, far easier, looks like, and probably a lot lighter than the Spectra stock cords.
