I agree with that! ^^ Although that duck tape did make me want to do some math...
Wouldn't hanging between the bunk frame make for an awfully droopy hammock?
gakayaker, DUUUUDe...Wheres the pics of what you came up with?
dont got pics.. BUT i ended up keeping the bed in its place and just using the hammock to lounge in whenever im reading or napping. I just ended up hanging it up in between my roommates loft and mine.

As long as the doors stay closed while he is in it I don't see much problem. OTOH if somebody opens the door all bets are off. ;-)
I epoxyied some anchors in a cinder block wall for a project.
When I was done, I sawed them off and just did a bit of touch-up on the paint.
What about the ceiling?
Can you remove it and replace it without harm?
Any holes in the structure that would work with some straps or rope?
Don't hang on duct work or electrical!
Also, the door jam idea is a neat place to think about. In addition to the hinges that were mentioned, there might be some neat way to wedge a device in there to support enough weight or even bridge it across the whole frame somehow. I'm now thinking of those hooks one can get that go over the back of a bathroom door to create a hook. Just an upside down U, over the door, with a hook on the inside. Between the hinges and the latch the weight would distribute nicely (hopefully).
