where is a good place to get snowshoes that wont cost you an arm and a leg

I got mine from http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/Main.aspx? for $89 if I recall. They had three sizes, and I got the largest, and I'm glad. They were never difficult to walk in. Guidegear brand, 10x32 I think??? (Even though I only weigh about 170 (180 after thankgiving! lol))

ps: Of course, now that I think about it, you better add on to my weight 5-10 pounds of clothes and a 50 pound pack.

I got a pair on eBay for about $30, in great condition. Depends on what you want. You can get mil-surplus mag snowshoes on some sites for @ $30, but you have to make the bindings yourself. You have to really look around for good deals on Snowshoes, usually the best time is in the spring.

Did a date get decided upon...Are we car camping or hiking in...Cold weather is upon us and I'm itching to get out there...

I dont think we have decided on a date or a location. We have suggestions....
Dates - Feb 17,18, & 19 or Feb 24,25, & 26
Locations - Ludington State Park

Other than that I dont know much else.

With LSP there is the option of both hiking and drive in.
