Where are you guys getting your materials? I hbe found it at the local big boxes, for big bucks. I found an online source selling black tyvek, for big bucks. Should I just try to get a local Jacksonville group buy going?

ISTRecall some sellers on evil-bay; selling for 1-2$/linear ft- mostly as photo backdrops..worth a google.KM
Antigravitygear sells it by the foot. Not sure just which version it is, but the description says that it's good for tent flooring, so my bet is the standard house siding stuff. It's $2 a foot, off of a nine foot wide roll. Supposedly it's 1.9 ounces per square yard.

You can hit up a building contractor and ask to purchase a remant roll. It's not uncommon that a fair portion of a roll is left after wrapping a home. Suppliers don't usually buy back partial rolls, although you may call some of them and ask.
Depending on your project(s) 15-25' will probably be all the tyvek you ever need.

12x9 should be suffcient for all but the worst of terrantial rain storms. And I know it rains ALOT, In Florida (Everyday, if only briefly, everytime I've been there.) For those heavier rains you could plan to make a Grizz Beak as well. It will give you some extra protection when the rain starts blowing in sideways.

I have used AntiGravity Gear's tyvek for tent floors. Works great and weighs the 1.9 oz/sy as advertised. Good folks over there too.
