After months of slow progress it looks like i am now ready to begin moving out of my 4bdrm 3-1/2bth suburban money pit to my quiet 6 wooded acres. I probably wont be spending the weekend with you guys but I will still try to get out there one evening to cook. i'll keep you all posted.

Has anyone heard about the burn ban? I heard it was lifted and the website doesn't say anything about it. I know it's all over it when the ban is in effect.

Quick call to the Ranger station and they confirmed there is still a burn ban in effect.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it looks like I won't be able to make it guys. I hate to do this to yall but my wife has to come first. She is having one hell of a pregnancy. Had to go to the doctor last Thursday, and again this morning. I know I shouldn't be sorry cause my wife is a good reason but I have been waiting for this for a long time.

This is bad news indeed and even worse news about your wife. Your doing tue right thing am we will keep y'all in our prayers. Maybe we can get together for a thru hike of tue WAT sometime in tue near future. Take care of you and yours.

Jason, if you feel the need to hang between the trees and stay close to home, i've got about 3 acres that i havent cleared yet. i'm going to make about 4 hang sites so i can have friends for sleep-overs ;-)

I have to work late Friday, but will try to get there late that night as it is a long ride down rough roads at night.
