Rip Stop Nylon on Sale at Hancock Fabrics

For those of you with access to Hancock Fabrics, they have their rip stop calendared nylon on sale for $2.99 a yard, regularly $4.99 a yard.

They are actually having a store wide sale with everything supposedly being on sale.

Not sure what the non-calendared was going for and not sure of the weight, but I picked up 3 yards of the calendared to make some assorted stuff sacks cause one can never have enough stuff sacks and I wanted to practice some sewing. Then my SO sent me back to pick up eight additional yards to make her a hammock.

    It was a good day!

I could be wrong, but I *think* this stuff is 1.6-1.9oz material. If it's the stuff I'm thinking about.

    There is one in Salem

It is out by the Lancaster Mall. There is a Joann's out there too. Not sure about anywhere else in Oregon though.

HAHA I just callde Hancock Fabrics and asked the price of their RIPSTOP..He instantly stated that it was 9.99$ per yard. After I picked myself up off the floor I instantly asked if he could verify that price jsut to be certain.

When he came back he nicely apologized to me and siad it was 4.99 with an additional 40% off till at least 28 of this month.

I just wish that they (or any fabric store nearby) would carry more styles of green or even carry a brown color at all.

So ill prob head down this weekend and grab up some black or white for new tarp.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale!

Saw this sign when visiting the Maple Grove (Minneapolis, MN) Walmart a couple of days ago. The person I talked to said they had a lot of complaints when they took the fabric out, and are now getting a lot of good comments that it is coming back. As sign says "soon". With that said I'm leaving for Tacoma, WA for a week to visit my daughter, and I see there is a Hancock store in Tacoma, so if those of you in that area would please leave a few pieces for me. Thanks

I went to the Kirkland store on 9/24 and the rip stop was not on sale. They said the sale ended last Sunday.
