Im going to have to sell my gear.

yeah, theres no happy point to this.

my only transportation is my motorcycle. 2 days ago, the battery kicked the bucket and i replaced it today.

well, something was wrong somewhere, and it fried both the EFI computer module and a good portion of the wiring, while i was riding. I just got home, and with a lovely loophole in my insurance the battery is a non factory item ( i didnt buy from harley) its not covered.

so i have to buy all new parts out of pocket, and get this thing fixed, or finish the other bike.

so, i guess after grayson and santee, yall will be seeing some good deals. im going to keep some things like my dutch stuff and Eno, but the rest is going to go to the parts.

    thanks for all the help.

ill see what i can do to keep it, but with the amount of $ wrapped up in this its the fastest way to get the parts.

    all will be well.

That sucks, but I know how you feel. I hate it when I have some extra cash and buy something I want and then bam! I actually consider resale value when I buy stuff now, just for that very reason.

Sorry to hear!!! Hope everything turns out how you need it to be.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

You might want to take a look at the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. As long as that part meets the specifications, they cannot restrict you to purchasing "Harley" parts. According to the act: Warrantors cannot require that only branded parts be used with the product in order to retain the warranty. You might want to start making some waves with whoever you are trying to get to cover this.
