Hey there folks, new guy here, otherwise known as theirishmancometh(or David for those of you old fashioned people who use real names lol). Thought I would take a moment and introduce myself as I joined a few days ago but have been viewing the forums for a while now. I'm from Phoenix, AZ unfortunately and quite frankly it's too hot! I try to get out and away from the hot city as much as my schedule allows( never as often as I would like). I did get out this past weekend though with my dad to our favorite spot in the state, Christopher Creek,AZ. Beautiful place tucked up in the woods that has a nice short(and I do mean short-1 mile hike at the most) hike up an easy trail to great spot right near the creek to camp at. Great hike to test out new gear as if the gear doesn't work properly and things go south it's less than a 30 min walk back to the trailhead! I attached some photos of the trip(well mostly me in my hammock...this is a hammock forum after all lol!) Well, that's about it for now.
