Only thing they all agreeing on is there is snow. So i'm think its going to be a bit warmer than that especially since i'm planning to be about 2000 feet below Timberline. Either way im planning to be prepared just in case.
Might get some new snowshoes
I need to test out my New freeze/water proof camera, and Winter Quilt!
Oh and my HH UL Explorer with 2QZQ mod and over cover!
And maybe my unused winter boots
I will attempt to make it. I will show off the new UL gear I just got. 1/2 Cuben fiber UQ. Bet you don't have one and haven't seen that yet. Other tricky surprises coming with me.

Beginning my NOBO trip on the AT on 2/28/12.
Man, I have been out this game awhile. I'm back and ready to hang. I have poked in on this forum once or twice in the last 6mo. I was at the the WA winter hang last year and had a blast! I was hoping to see something about it going on this year but nothing yet. I can make it to this one for a sweet weekend in the snow and some relaxation.
There is a Washington hang being talked about

My 0 degree UQ showed up today!!
Tomorrow I get my new snowshoes and an annual Sno park Pass.
And today I realized how much winter gear I have that has never been used....
Guess I was just being prepared never to be cold!
Pictures and maybe videos will be posted after the weekend.
Might I suggest, to aid in YOUR planning, a glance at the Mt Rogers Hangout planning forum. Might be helpful in figuring what to bring gear wise and fun stuff wise.
I would like to also second (3rd & forth) the caution about bringing "outside firewood" to an area. As an example, I can NOT move firewood from my area (SW Ohio) to Anywhere!* Even other areas in Ohio! Due to the emerald ash borer. Plus there are a few other "Infestations" (critter & otherwise) in my area that don't carry quite the penalty, but could soon.
*fines, possible arrest, etc.
