Yes both possible sites will be a walk/hike into for the hang. The site from HOD hang I was a slight 1/4 mile walk in and the other possible site will be a full mile hike.

    MC DILL point!

Or anywhere from Little Caney head north! Those who don't want a good solid hike in can come south on cave creek and cross over to the Pinhoti.

There are some sites that will hold 20+ hammocks along the ridge. And the view...
The stout breeze will keep any bugs at bay...

But water would have to be brought along for that one.

    JMHO

Turnipseed is down there. See it?
I will go wherever you call it, but I may make it a one nighter then hike up as I can't make this drive and not go up to the ridge for a night.

    Just South of McDill point.

Well I hate that I'll miss this, should be real nice a month from now up there, but I'll be working for sure...

Smarticle and I have a conflict on Sunday. Being a 5 hour drive, it is not practical for us to come up for only one day. Sorry we will miss it.

I want to see pics so I know what we missed!

I'd go if I wasn't going to Little River Canyon the next weekend. Maybe next time.

Another hang between Thanksgiving and Christmas may be an option. Smarticle and I were looking at getting out on a backpack trek to field test and shake down our new lighter-weight gear. Keep us posted on whatever else you come up with.

well it looks like we won't be able to make it right now. I didn't realize the Titans have a home game on the Sunday 23rd. Not sure if I can get off on Friday Oct 21st. Just no way to drive down and back on Sat.
