I am over half way done, I think. I have two more baffles to sew in and then stuff with down and add the grossgrain. I plan on being done my Wednesday (maybe tomorrow).
Pictures so far (I hope you can see them. Any fuzziness is from the pictures being taken on my phone and the lighting in the room being bad.):

Also, I was made fun of by a friend for going to a fabric store for some DIY supplies...until they saw how things were coming.

Thumbs up It is Finished

It is finished. I completed my first Down Underquilt today. I am glad to have a finished product. It finished up 24" wide at the feet, 40" wide at the middle, 48" long. Its loft is roughly 3.5" in the middle and 2.5" on the edge. 9oz of down was used. The darts at the top and bottom allow for better wrap around. The grossgrain made it finish up nice.
Stuffing down is a little messy. I used a bandana to cover my nose and mouth, gloves so the down would not stick to my hands and a very smooth plastic spoon with a flat head to stuff the down. I recommend packing the down into a tight fist before removing from the packaging. This made the mess much more manageable. I only lost ~0.15oz total.
I plan on weighing it tomorrow and then hanging it to see how it lays. I'll report after that.

Dimension sheet modified after using Meteor's spreadsheet (DIY Underquilt Calculations)

Excellent job, FireInMYBones!! Looks like professional work.
I like you "funnel" used to fill the down, nice idea.
And darts! You went all the way for a tailored look.

Congratulations! That will keep you warm and toasty.
