    Got my Clark Ultralight today

I am really excited, and at 64 that doesn't happen often enough, after reading and viewing videos on this forum I was laying in my hammock in 13 minutes. Took a little longer to put the guy lines on the tarp and stake everything out. I put my pad and bag in and I'm sleeping out tonight. Will confirm my neighbors veiw that I'm pretty crazy.

    Let your freak flag fly!

    And let the neighbors wonder.

    Have a good sleep.

Excellent Storm, enjoy your first sleep. My neighbors know for a fact that I am unbalanced.

If you will put on a loincloth and dance around a small campfire, you will never have to worry about your neighbors again!!!!!!!!

Just kidding, enjoy the night out in the CJH.........if you do decide to don a loincloth and dance around the fire I request photos of the neighbors faces not of you in the cloth!!!!!!

First night went pretty well. Didn't sleep real well but much better than on the ground. Even though I had my foot end slightly elevated I kept slipping down in the hammock. Must be my fat butt.

We have a good chance of rain tonight so I'm sleeping out again. Wife might just become a hammock widow.

Hammock came with the rainfly attached to the hammock. Not really sure I like that setup. Can't make the fly very taught to start because it would be too tight after weight is in the hammock. Also it might be nice to be able to hang the fly without the hammock if I choose to.

Sorry, no foot photos and definately no loin cloth photos.

Glad you had a good night in the CJH. I have found that you need to hang the CJH a little tighter with the foot end about 6" to 8" higher than the head end of the hammock. I detached the tarp from the hammock and used shockcord to supend the bugnet from the tarp. Also you can place a section of shockcord across the opening of the hammock to give you a "ridgeline" so you can hang glassed, headlight or organizer from it. Using the shockcord will make it non-structural and allow the bugnetting to move as you get in and out of the hammock.

Good luck to night out in the weather and don't make her a widow, make her apart of the outdoor experience with you............
