I have a 3/4 length Phoenix UQ. What size ccf pad should I use under my feet? I have a pad but im not sure how big of a piece I should use.

My pad covers from the bend in my knees to the hells of my feet. But I bring different length pads for different season. It also may vary depending on your height.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
I like the pad to cover from my shoulders to butt then use it under my legs. This gives me a torso sized pad if I have to go to ground.
I use a frameless pack and my pad serves as support for it. I have it cut so that when folded into 3rds, it is as wide as my backpack. This leaves it wide enough to put under my butt or sit on it if I want to.

In reality there is nothing more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future.
I just used a 20 in x 20 in under my feet with a 3/4 UQ. That size worked fine for me. Unfortunately, the blue CCF pad wasn't warm enough for the temps I was at--but the size was fine. Also fit nicely into my frameless backpack for back support.
