PLUQ - hack job slides around

Ok so I did a short test in the back yard with the PLUQ and I found just from a couple of adjustments in the hammock that the quilt would start sliding out from under me. I used 1/8 shock cord on the sides and just have them looped over the end of the hammock as an anchor point. My set up is a WBBB with a Superfly so the triangles may or may not still be an option. Looking for suggestions.

How tight is the UQ suspension? It needs to be very tight...so that it pretty much lifts your hammock up a few inches if you are not in it. I had this problem when I first used my DIY UQ. Once I tightened up the suspension on the UQ a lot...perfecto!

Thanks for the quick response. Well I think I had it tight but maybe not enough. I will set it up again this weekend and crank her down. See what that does.

I had to set mine a whole lot tighter that I thought that i would. I had a friend who set up his WBBB and Yeti next to my rig...I compared the tension that way....what a difference!

Or have someone crash in the hammock while you setup the UQ. Once you see it setup correctly, you'll know how it should be from that point forward.
