How long is your actual ridgeline?

83% is the community standard for ridgeline starting length with the expectation that the user will make slight adjustments for personal comfort.

I was just wondering which direction most people tend to adjust (if at all).

Personally I like mine closer to 80%.

    How about you?

I personally like mine a little shorter. I find thats what works best for me.

With 83% I had a calf ridge problem in the WBBB. I swapped the SRL out for an adjustable and with a slightly shorter length ( approx. 81%) I found the comfort I was after.

It would be interesting to see if height and weight are contributing factors for determining the correct SRL length. I'm 5' 8" and 200lb.

I shortened mine a few inches from stock on my HH. I found it gives me a little flatter lay for stomach sleeping.

Interesting stuff, and in a rough bell curve no less.

I actually want to change my answer to an "it depends on my hammock." My HH 83%, my DYI GE 84-85%
