I need some help with webdesign/development!

This isn't really hammock related but I need some help!

For several months I have been trying to get up and running an online retail website. Everything has been moving along according to plan and then, inexplicably, my website designer/developer just stoped returning calls and e-mal, no response at all, and now the number I have is no longer valid.

I contacted several other developers, some of them too busy to take on a big retail website and others unfamiliar with the e-commerce shopping cart. I have begun work with a few who seemed to be willing, but now one has called back and said he can't do it either and the other just doesn't return calls or doesn't do what he says he will do, always with an excuse.

I am about to go postal on someone, if they lived closer maybe I would, but I am at my wits end, so I am asking for help.

I am a paying client, I am not trying to get something for nothing, or barter (but that could be an option if interested I guess).

I am looking for someone who can help me finish the website, it is 99% complete and needs only a few tweeks to get it running full speed. If someone on the Hammock Forums can do this I would be very gratefull; or, if anyone knows someone that can do this for me I would really appreciate a referral.

BTW, the website does carry Hammocks!

i'm no help there but i hope someone will be.
hogn8r let me take a look at the unfinished version a while back & i think it'll be another good source for people to find good deals on out door gear (including a few hammocks & accessories) & be treated fairly.

Gunn, the website is www.cheapoutdoorsupply.com, I am using Apache Red Hat and MySql, I am learning all this stuff as I go and I am just not proficient anough in it yet to complete everything.

My e-mail is robert.lee01 (at) yahoo (dot) com, if you have your friend send me an e-mail I can discuss it further with him and give him access to the server and backoffice so he can see how much the damage control will be. Not much I know, but still, they know more about it than I do.

Wish I had knew about your site before I placed my order last week for my new headlamp I could of saved a couple of bucks and gave business to a fellow hanger! Hope you get everything squared away with your site. That really sucks when people do that, been there!

In your first message you said it is 99% complete and "needs only a few tweeks to get it running full speed". So, if speed is the only problem, don't sweat it.

If you meant that the final 1% is actually some important feature, or fixing something that is broken then of course, you need help and I hope you can find it.

Aside from that the site looks fine.
