    Welcome to the BB Clan,

and have a great time in the BWCA. Didn't pull off my planned trip this year, so I am jealous.

    What are you paddling?

Jim, I'm renting a Wenonah Encounter. I've never paddled a solo so I should be interesting! Bummer about not getting up there. Its two hours for me to drive but I was on a fifteen year hiatus until a few years ago. I couldn't get anyone to go with this fall and told the wife if I don't go on one more trip this year I'll be sick all winter. I'll post a TR with lots of picture for ya when I get back

    Have a great time!

I paddle a Bell Magic, and have never tried an Encounter. Next week I will be at a Paddling.net gathering at Raystown Lake in central PA where everyone brings what they have and we all try out other hulls. Maybe there will be an Encounter.

My 2007 trip to the BWCA would have been MUCH more comfy with a hammock!

I've heard the magic is a great boat. I'm really looking forward to setting the BB up by the lake and not having to crawl of of a tent every morning, stiff and tired from rolling around all night! Hope I'm warm enough. Have a great time at the gathering and spread the hammock bug

Welcome indeed to the BB clan... and the BMJ is awesome, one thing I would suggest is that you get the door kit to go with (wish I had done) will help on those windy days/nights in camp.

So what is the difference between the SuperFly and BMJ other than the SF has doors on it already and you need to order doors for the BMJ?

Congrats on the BB, RGR. From what Brandon told me in an email is the superfly is just a mamajamba with the doors built on. The sf is a couple ounces lighter than the mj w/doors
