Boy, you go away for ONE day and look what you miss!! I REALLY like this book. I'm psyched about its publication. Congrats, Dejoha and thanks for the fun give-away!

My Ultimate hangs, so far. This one. Nothing special about the hammock setup BUT it was model airplane flying all day and into the night followed by campfire with a bunch of friends late into the morning followed by comfy sleeping like I was at home. Then I got up and did it again.

And then this one. Kinda a low hang thanks to using a Hammock stand BUT it was where I was hanging. The EAA expo at Oshkosh, WI from Wednesday through Sunday.

Sure, anybody can go string up between a couple trees in the woods. But you don't have to be stuck to driving somewhere to an event and live in an uncomfortable hotel/motel with bed bugs and 'fluids' and lord knows what else with a meth lab on one side and a 'business' gal on the other(yeah, I'm cheap).

I believe my Hammock Stand Tarp Standoffs construction are in my Gallery here. If it helps with your effort feel free to use it. Texsport Padre Island Hammock Stand and mods

I liked you on Facebook. The new Facebook same as the old Facebook to me. I'm not that involved on it. Just keep track of my Grand-daughter on it.

    Thanks Grtz!

I just met a gal from the Netherlands the other day here in Flagstaff. We were talking about the great bicycle training program you have with the elementary children.

I should have some good distribution options. I'll be able to post more one I get into the publishing cycle next month. I'm waist deep in peer editing right now and hope to wrap that up by the end of the month.

Looks like a good book. The illustrations have a very "Mike Clelland" look to them. I like that, makes for a very enjoyable read.

Thanks Jerry! Mike's an inspiration. I own most of his books and love his style. I won't claim to be as quirky as Mike's illustrations -- my book is more instructional, although the pen-and-ink "cartoon" style is fun and lends itself to some humor.

When I sat down to do this book, I wanted to have something that would be fun to look at and review time and time again, like I do with Mike's illustrations. Ironically, some of his books I haven't actually "read" all the way, in part because the illustrations cover so much ground. While I hope people will enjoy reading my book, I think it will be the illustrations that really help readers understand the concepts.

If my book contained only illustrations I think it would be printed now, but I'm spending far longer on getting the text right. Lots of editing, re-writing, fact checking, etc. I've got a great group of peer editors right now who are finalizing their reviews.

I'm looking forward to getting a few copies - one to keep and a couple to have in my troop's library! Looks to be awesome! (Have I used enough !!!'s yet?)
