    Smash,

We stayed Wednesday nite at the main CG just outside the visitors center. Very nice CG and hopefully we will come back some day. We toured the cave Thursday but the nite previous was more than Andrew wanted to handle with rain and spiders, so our camping for the remainder of the trip was brought to a halt. Ended up weaving our way back north doing the tourist thing and making it back home Friday evening.

Next year is our daughters turn to get out camping and she is a little "tougher" than her big brother.

Its like hiking, but lazier. I love it. Plus, I don't mind hauling a 4lb iron skillet in the kayak but I ain't strapping it to my back and hiking with it.

we are going to be at Mammoth Cave park this weekend. Right now we will be doing the Sal Hollow Trail but that is subject to change depending on the water conditions

I gotta paddle down there one of these days. Looks real pretty, different from the sand dunes of NW lower Michigan.

    Looks like a fine trip!

Wish I had been available to go - only a couple of hours from where I live in WV. Maybe next time.....
