Where in Mn are you going? I've hung in quite a few state parks here and haven't had a problem yet. But, I could probably tell you which state parks are good ones if I knew your itinerary. Sounds like a fun trip.

All of the Illinois parks allow hammocks.
My experience has been - set up the hammock and let them tell me it's not allowed. Hasn't happened yet.

I have camped at a couple of state parks here in TN without any trouble, but as stated earlier I did not ask. I just set up camp as if my hammock was no different than a tent. At that time I was still very new, and never considered that it might not be allowed.

Where in Indiana? There is one state park in Northern IN that has not allowed me in the past, but others have not been a problem.
If you are going to that one, I hope that you will be the one that has influence and makes a change for the good of the hangers.
not sure what parks exactly..just heading north hoping to find some near the interstate to crash at.. thanx for the input
I am in Southwest Minnesota and the state parks around me have never said anything. I have never asked but have never been told to take it down. I do get a lot of people that want to come check it out.
