Welcome aboard from Florida, Mike. Yeah you're going to enjoy it here.
Welcome aboard from Florida, Mike. Yeah you're going to enjoy it here.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
Welcome to the trees! Hanging with Burning Cedar and catching Smokehouse videos is giving you a glimpse of just the tip of the iceberg of information and nice people on here.
I too encourage the Shug and Grizz videos as a great place to learn.
Another great way to learn is group hangs. You meet lot's of folks, see a wide range of set ups and get to hear what's worked and how gear has been modified to fit particular needs. Check out the trip planning forum and see what's around you. Smokehouse and Dave showed me a ton of hospitality the last 2 years at the spring hang at Kyle's Landing. We've had a good time hanging in Oklahoma, and I know there are others within a reasonable trek from you.
If you're up for the drive, we have one in Texas in November and you'd be welcome to join in on the fun.
Again, watch the videos, read lots, and don't be shy about questions.
Once you watch Shug's videos there's no turning back. Welcome.
Welcome from Florida!
I would have to definitely say the the ground gets harder during the second 50!
That's what brought me here.

"Life is a Project!"
Welcome from another 50+er from Edmonton Alberta, where believe it or not, we are preparing for winter!!
Hey thanks everyone. Time for me to get down to business and figure out my first rig. The woods are calling.

Hello and welcome from a hanger in Branson, MO. Lots of great places around our area, aren't there? I'm heading out to Hercules Glades this weekend. The weather should be perfect!
When life gives you lemons, keep them, because hey, free lemons!
