I got another BCUSA Tarp shipped up this week (woodland camo). Now my son and I each have the same setup. We should be able to keep the wind off pretty well with a canted pup tent config. Getting excited for this weekend! We will probably be showing up as early as possible Saturday morning. Work won't allow me to get away Friday PM. Hope you all can start the party without us. I'll stay in contact with Doody to track you down when we arrive.

Mojoe: I couldn't let you be the only one with the woodland camo tarp. Jealousy forced my hand! I'll bring one of my big choppers (BK9) to help out with fire prep. Have a safe trip over...I look forward to all the fun!

My boy is 15. I hope he can still make the trip. He has a small case of the sniffles, but he is resting up. Glad to hear there is more youth getting out for the fun!

I still won't know for sure if I can take tomorrow off until the end of the day today. Nothing like suspense. If I do get it off, I'll be there between 3 to 4 on Friday and will just go to Brown's Hollow. This should be fun.

Loading my pack now so I can leave in the AM. My superfly fit in my BMJ skins, thank goodness. I didn't have time to test hang it so the first setup will be an adventure!

Just a reminder that it is bow hunting season for deer so wearing something orange might not be a bad idea.

Just finished loading my stuff! With this being my first trip with a hammock, I wasn't sure if I would get it all in my pack but even with the massive amount of food I managed to cram it all in!

Also, I went to set my new tarp up tonight (in the dark) and discovered the line I was planning on using for a ridge line wasn't long enough! So I grabbed some extra smaller line I had laying around....I'm hoping it works okay! Looking forward to the adventure and to meeting all of you (and learning!)
