    Ridgeline attachment question

This is probably been asked before, but i have a ridgeline attached to a descender ring with a hitch on one end, what do i use for the descender ring on the other side? Also, some of the pictures on here seem to show a simple hitch down with two loops through? Is that a different knot?

Many Thanks for helping this hanging noob.

Arothian, do you have descending rings on both ends of the hammock? If you do, and have one end of the ridgeline attached to one descending ring with a girth hitch, then you could use one of our soft shackles (or make one) to connect to the other descending ring assuming there is a loop on the other end of the ridge line (as does our adjustable structural ridge line).

Yep, I have descending rings on both ends of the hammock.. I will try my hand at making a soft shackle. It's basically a rope biner replacement , correct? Does it jam at all? Gives me an exuse to order more rope

    Thanks for the help!
