the JRB i have is a rocky mt snivler (RMS).
i've been using it as an underquilt but what i'd really like is to use a speer snugfit as an underquilt & the RMS as a top quilt (in really cold weather).
i hope i'll come up w/ the funds to get a snugfit by next winter.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

I have a JacksRBetter no-sniveller which I use as an underquilt, but don't carry it very often. I use it when I'm not hiking too far or when car camping. A 3/8" pad keeps me warm enough and isn't nearly as heavy.

I picked that yes I have a diy and no I want to make a diy. I want to make a down one, and have a synthetic one.

I have a hudson river. mostly used as a top quilt. Id like to make a 1/2 UQ but Im looking for material on the cheap. I have the down and the mesh. Just need some ripstop. I think a down 1/2 quilt with about 3" loft will come in at 7oz and then I'll use a 3/8 ccf pad for the legs. !

I have a Nest UQ & I just received a Hudson River (long) that is intended for use as a top quilt but might see use as another UQ layer on really cold outings, or on somebody else's hammock.

I have a JRB Nest and a DIY RMS Clone. I use the Nest most to help ward off the chill. It doesn't get cold enough very often here to use the RMS clone but it sure feels good when it is cold enough.

I voted that I wanted to make an underquilt. I have a Speer peapod, but want a lighter quilt for the spring months.

I've got a PeaPod also, with over fill. I look at that as a combo UQ/top quilt. And, it is roughly the same weight as 2 No Snivs, or maybe an oz or 2 more. I'm going to have to decide on saving some weight ( for example with a pad in my Claytor No Net and a light top quilt, or even just my warm, hooded polarguard clothing) during the time of year when I don't need something good for 20*F.

I voted that I have a DIY. I have three - a RayWay synthetic, a Primaloft synthetic and a down one. I have the supplies to make two more down ones since the first is really for my son. Still have to make one for my daughter & me so I also voted that I want to make a DIY.
