Thanks Rosaleen for the idea of the stitched 'H'

I like the 'keep it simple' principle too....
Nothing wrong with toms set up...lashing is simple,
once learnt will never be forgotten & you can
do it with your eyes closed.

Its just some people like to give things a tweak here & there
.....its just the way some of us are are.

To figure out which end is which I just tied a small piece of 3mm rope to the loop on the head end snakeskin. Also if you always pack it in the bag the same way you know which end is coming out first anyway.

Put some whoopie slings on that thing and live right You could shorten the stock Hennessy lines and rig up a strap system like the Warbonnet too.

There is a video on this thread to show you how to do a full whoopie sling conversion on a Hennessy.:

Add a couple carabiners or toggles and some good tree straps and you'll have a nice lightweight and very adjustable suspension.

    Thanks danfromnd,
Originally,on my first couple of hangs I did something
simular with a short piece of luminous builders line.....but like a splinter
in my finger it began to annoy the #$@% out of me.
Had to replace the suspension anyway so i bought two different coloured ropes.
Also did the same trick as you & packed the sack the same way each time so
you know which end comes out first....

    Thanks Dalew,
Made some whoopies & they're on the hammock...
Play around with the set up everytime
I duck down into the garage.
Just have to find time to get out & get used to them
    in the real world.

No promises mind you....i love my rings...
If I was worried about suspensions weight...
I'd be on a belt loosening diet myself, I can afford to loose
    few love handles !!
Ease of use baby....in the bitter cold with gloves on....
with your eyes closed....a thicker rope is easier to hold.

But I'll give the new blue whoopies a red hot go...and see if they grow on me.

    Yep, I've seen kens video......its a **** good one !!
    Clear & to the point.

    Thanks for the feedback fella's.
